AFROTOPIA Book Club: Sky Full of Elephants

It has been seven years since the last AFROTOPIA Book Club gathering. I created this book club to expand the imagination and, in doing so, our collective futures. In today’s political climate, this feels like the right moment to come together and unpack what we are witnessing through speculative and nonfiction books.

February’s selection is Sky Full of Elephants by Cebo Campbell. The novel invites us into a surreal world where white people have mysteriously disappeared, opening a powerful exploration of generational trauma, history, and memory in the United States. Join us for this evocative journey and a rich conversation about what remains, what haunts us, and what futures become possible.
